This piece is made with stones from Lake Superior and sterling silver. The silver is oxidized to get the grey color. All links are soldered shut. This stone, along with all the stones in my jewelry, have been found by my husband and myself at Lake Superior. Yes, we spend a lot of time at the beach! The majority of these rock are basalt. We may have drilled or cut them in half, but otherwise they are un-altered and untreated. They will absorb some of your oils and deepen in color and take on a beautiful sheen. I try to find fairly thin rocks and I think you will find them to be much lighter than you would expect. Each piece is unique. This pendant has a piece of birch bark I have cut into a rectangle and then bezel set, linked to a bezel set light grey rock. It is on a omega chain with a tube clasp. This sale is for this item pictured. I have made this style before, but each one is different and a different size. The chain measures approx 20 inches and the pendant is about 3 3/4 inches long. There are other chain options possible. Please feel free to convo me if you have any questions.
