This piece is made with stones from Lake Superior and sterling silver. The silver is oxidized to get the grey color.
All links are soldered shut.
This stone, along with most of the stones in my jewelry, have been found by my husband and myself at Lake Superior. Yes, we spend a lot of time at the beach!
The majority of these rock are basalt.
We may have drilled or cut them but otherwise they are un-altered and untreated.
They will absorb some of your oils and deepen in color and take on a beautiful sheen.
I try to find fairly thin rocks and I think you will find them to be much lighter than you would expect.
Each piece is unique.
This necklace has a dark grey/black rock, bezel set and a piece of Petrified wood that is prong set below it. It also has a silver”twig” connecting up to the chain section on one side. I didn’t find the petrified wood but I did cut and polish it myself.
It has a handmade chain with a rock toggle clasp.

The chain section(including twig)measures approx 21 1/2 inches and the pendant section is about 2 3/8 inches wide and 1 7/8 inches long.
The chain length could be changed if need be.
