This piece is made with stones from Lake Superior and sterling silver. The silver is oxidized to get the grey color.
These stones, along with all the stones in my jewelry, have been found by my husband and myself at Lake Superior. Yes, we spend a lot of time at the beach!
We may have drilled or cut them but otherwise they are un-altered and untreated.
They will absorb some of your oils and deepen in color and take on a beautiful sheen.
I try to find fairly thin rocks and I think you will find them to be much lighter than you would expect.
Each piece is unique.
This brooch has several ovals layered with one bezel set black rock. The pin is a double and it is steel. I feel a double pin is more stable.
This sale is for this item pictured. I have made this style before, but each one is different and a different size.
It I s approximately 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches high.
Please feel free to convo me if you have any questions.
